Privacy Policy

Overview

SlickApps ("we", "us") operates VolumeWise — Volume Discounts, a Shopify app that helps merchants configure and display volume-based product discounts. This policy explains what information we process when you install and use the app, why we process it, and how we protect it.

This policy applies to merchants who install the app. It does not govern your own store's relationship with your customers; you remain responsible for your storefront privacy practices.

Information we collect

Shop and app configuration data

• Shop domain and installation status
• OAuth access tokens required to operate the app on your store
• Subscription plan (Free, Starter, or Growth)
• Tier pricing rules you create (products, quantities, discounts, labels)
• Onboarding and app settings needed to provide core functionality

Order data (Growth analytics only)

If you are on the Growth plan and open the Analytics dashboard, we read order information from the Shopify Admin API to show aggregated metrics such as:

• Order totals and currency
• Discount amounts applied by VolumeWise
• Product names and identifiers from discounted line items

We use this data only to calculate dashboard metrics for your store. We do not store raw order records in our database. Analytics are computed when you load the dashboard and cover a rolling window (currently the last 30 days of paid orders).

What we do not collect

• Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or mailing addresses
• Payment card numbers or bank account details
• End-customer browsing behavior outside what Shopify provides for app operation

How we use information

• Provide volume discount rules at checkout via Shopify Functions
• Sync tier configuration to product metafields and your theme extension
• Manage billing and plan limits
• Show Growth-plan analytics on discount performance
• Maintain, secure, and improve the app
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell merchant or customer data. We do not use order data for advertising or unrelated profiling.

How we share information

We share data only with service providers that help us run the app:

• Shopify — app platform, checkout discounts, and Admin API
• Supabase — secure storage for shop configuration and session data
• Netlify — application hosting

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data retention

We retain shop configuration and access tokens while the app is installed on your store. When you uninstall the app, we mark the shop as uninstalled and stop using your access token. We may retain minimal records needed for billing, security, or legal compliance, then delete or anonymize them when no longer required.

Analytics metrics are not persisted as order history in our database.

Security

We use HTTPS for data in transit. Data at rest is hosted with providers that encrypt stored data. Access to production systems is limited to what is needed to operate and support the app.

Your rights and GDPR

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we process about you or your business. Because we primarily process shop and configuration data on behalf of merchants, many customer data requests should be handled by the merchant through Shopify.

We support Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks for customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction. Contact us if you have questions about data subject requests related to our app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or Partner listing.
